Week Fifteen

The week started off cold, and I wasn't feeling too well, so GM took me out and bought me a half pint of Guinness, which, of course, it was necessary for Wanda to check out for me - I think she liked it.

The next thing for Wanda to check out was the little suit that I've knitted for my soon-to-be-born grandchild.

On Wednesday we actually made it to Bristol to see GO (ginger one), after several false starts and date changes. We had a meal out, and naturally Wanda wanted to see what it was all about. The hand on the left of picture belongs to GO, while the face top middle belongs to GT (ginger two). I would like to point out at this stage that the pints are not mine, mine is the half pint!

Thursday's post bought a letter from my penfriend Karen who lives in Cornwall. Karen and I have been writing to each other for a couple of months now, having both signed up on someone else's blog (shame on me, I cant remember whose blog it was!). I love getting real letters in the post rather than just bills and circulars.

On Friday GM fixed the picture hooks up in the dining room, so we now have some of our originals on display, this one I bought direct from the artist, Lian Lilley Earley, who is a native of Warminster but now lives in Devon. Wanda likes it.

Last weekend I bought some petunias and some busy lizzies to put into my hanging baskets, some of the petunias are flowering already.

Wanda having a sniff of my cheese and onion crisps. I've been slowly but surely losing weight over the past couple of months, mostly just by cutting out crisps and biscuits from my diet, so these really were a bit of a naughy indulgence.
